Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005110819A1] The invention relates to a device comprising a first and a second structural parameter for a first or a second hollow body (21, 22; 21.2, 22.2; 21.3, 22.3). At least one of the parameters changes along the collision location detection region (Y) in such a way that the quotient (Q) and/or the difference between the two signals (ps31, ps32) of the sensors (31, 32) essentially continuously increases or decreases when the same object collides at the same speed in different collision locations (a, b, c). Suitable parameters are, for example, the cross-sectional surface of a hollow body (21, 22; 21.2, 22.2; 21.3, 22.3) or the rigidity thereof.
