[origin: WO2005108806A1] The invention relates to a bearing shell made of plastic material for a ball joint for mounting a ball joint journal which is housed in the bearing shell in a manner that enables it to rotate and pivot. The bearing shell comprises at least two shell parts (1a, 1b) that form an inner hollow spherically shaped bearing surface. These shell parts, in their entirety, form the shape of a bearing ring (1) with an opening (2, 3) situated on opposite faces of the bearing ring. At least one web (4) that joins the bearing parts (1a, 1b) extends across one of the opening cross-sections.
