[origin: WO2005109079A1] Disclosed is an eyeglass frame comprising a mount (1) that forms a profiled circumferential groove (3) for accommodating lenses. On the side facing the eye, the cross section of said circumferential groove (3) is delimited by a peripheral surface which tapers conically in an outward direction. In order to create advantageous structural conditions, the circumferential groove (3) is provided with a circumferential wall (9) on the side located opposite the conical peripheral surface (10), said circumferential wall (9) extending perpendicular to the axis of the mount (1) while being arranged at a distance from the conical peripheral surface (10).
