Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1743859A2] The present invention refers to a footboard (1), especially for winding machines (2), and a winding machine (2) comprising said footboard (1). The footboard (1) comprises one or more support columns (10) that can be associated with the winding machine (2) in correspondence of a side panel of the latter and a suspended walkable surface (12). The walkable surface (12) exhibits one or more segments (12a) movable independently of each other to disengage the area close to the machine (2) and allow access to the blades (7) region thereof located in correspondence of the rest base (11). When it is required to have access to the upper region (2b) of the machine (2), the segments (12a) are brought back to the original position thereby defining a single bearing plane (12b) upon which the operators can transit during the working procedures.
