Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005107835A1] The invention relates to a method for regulating a volumetric flow rate of a liquid in an osmotic micropump comprising a semi-permeable interlayer, and an osmotic pump. According to said method, the liquid is sucked through the semi-permeable interlayer (4) into an outflow chamber (6) by means of osmosis, and flows out of the outflow chamber. An osmotic agent, which is formed by an osmotically active dissolved substance (7) to which the semi-permeable interlayer is impermeable, flows out of the outflow chamber with the liquid, and the volumetric flow rate of the liquid is regulated by introducing an additional osmotic agent into a diffusion region of the semi-permeable interlayer in order to at least partially replace the osmotic agent flowing out of the outflow chamber.
