[origin: WO2005108030A1] The invention relates to a chainsaw and especially to improved devices for an easy installation of a chainsaw blade, i.e. the chain guiding device and a chain and for tensioning the chain. For this purpose, the chainsaw is provided with a drive which is preferably received by a base, a chain guiding device (20) arranged on the base, an adjusting device (50) and a fixing device (60). The chain guiding device (20) can be displaced without tools along its longitudinal axis with respect to the base by means of the adjusting device (50). For this purpose, the chain guiding device is provided with an adjusting section (75) which engages with a predetermined section (55) of the adjusting device during operation. The chain guiding device (20) is fixed on the base without tools by means of the fixing device (60).
