[origin: WO2005109353A1] The invention relates to an information terminal, comprising at least the following: a base housing, a screen and an input device, such as a keyboard and/or a card reader and an output device, for the output of documents. Documents not withdrawn by the user are placed in a return tray. According to the invention, the documents are rendered illegible before being placed in the return tray, by means of total or partial blacking out, or by shredding. A printer such as an ink-jet printer is preferably provided for the blacking out of the documents. Should the paper be thermal paper a thermoprint raster can be used. A paper shredder can be used for shredding the documents.
