[origin: WO2005106847A2] The invention relates to a method and a device for acoustic access to an application computer (4), at least comprising an interface for at least one acoustic input and/or output unit, a speech browser, whereby the speech browser comprises at least one automatic speech recognition unit (32), a Text-to-Speech (TTS) device (34) and an interpreter (2). Said interpreter (2) is embodied such that at least files from the application computer (4) may be converted into a format for the speech browser (2) and/or the input/output unit (1) and the interpreter (2) has a dialogue design, whereby a user may be instructed in an ergonomic manner for access to the application computer.
