Abstract (en)
[origin: EP1746032A2] The method involves receiving a plastic ring over a fixture and receiving a sidewall of a container over the fixture and on top of the plastic ring. The sidewall is pressed into the plastic ring and a bottom is affixed to an end of the sidewall that is opposite to the plastic ring. Suction is generated on a surface of the bottom to lift the sidewall off the fixture and transfer the sidewall to the conveyor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a container assembly apparatus comprising a pressing device (B) a container building system comprising fixtures.
