Abstract (en)

[origin: DE102004020060B3] Cosmetic skin treatment with sun products involves (1) prior to exposure to intensive UV radiation treating the skin once or more for 2-7 days with a pre-sun product; (2) during intensive UV exposure applying a sun product including a combination of UVA and UVB filters; and (3) after such exposure treating once or more for 1-7 days with an after-sun product containing the same components as the pre-sun product but with a different composition. Cosmetic skin treatment with sun products involves: (1) prior to exposure to intensive UV radiation treating the skin once or more for 2-7 days with a pre-sun product including a radical scavenger, a caffeine/complex amino acid salt combination, a liposomally-enclosed photolyase enzyme/UV endonuclease combination and an algal extract of Coralina officinalis; (2) during intensive UV exposure applying a sun product including a combination of UVA and UVB filters containing >=3 wt.% UVA filter; and (3) after such exposure treating once or more for 1-7 days with an after-sun product containing the same components as the pre-sun product but with the content of the radical scavenger + photolyase 50-90 wt.% lower, the content of UV endonuclease 50-90 wt.% higher and containing a cooling plant extract (mixture) rather than the algal extract. An independent claim is also included for a sun product combination comprising the above pre-sun, sun and after-sun products.
