Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005113363A1] The invention relates to a tamper-evident lid (1) for a container (2), said container comprising an opening edge (4) which runs around an upper container opening and, in particular, is flanged, with a lid piece (5) essentially covering the upper container opening and a lid edge (6), running essentially downwards from the lid piece towards the container, comprising, at least in some positions, a locking element (7) which grips below the opening edge, which may be definitively separated from the lid, in particular, together with a lower edge section (8) of the lid edge, for removal of the lid from the container. The lid edge runs essentially inclined downwards and outwards from the lid piece and the locking element is embodied as a locking edge (10), running in the circumferential direction of the lid.
