[origin: EP1591517A1] The present invention relates to a lid (2) for a substantially sterile bottle (1) in particular bioreactor bottle (1), comprising means (20) for securing the lid (2) to an upper opening of the bottle (1), a first pipe (3,4) for introducing media into the bottle (1), a second pipe (5,6,17) for removing media from the bottle (1), and a filter (11). It furthermore relates to a bioreactor system using such a lid (2) and it relates to a method of cultivating biomass in a bioreactor using such a lid (2). The system according to the invention allows highly automated and sterile cultivation of biomass using simple and reliable technology.
