Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005111358A1] The present invention relates to an arangement for providing an improved fire insulation of e.g. a window having a sheet unit (1), such as a glass pane (2), a thermopane (3) or the like, whereby the sheet unit (1) is fixed in a groove (4), having a groove bottom (5) on which a fire swelling material (8) is applied, wherein a spacing element (9) is provided, wholly or partly covering the fire swelling material (8) between the border (6) of the sheet unit (1) and the fire swelling material (8), which, in case of fire, increases its volume and thereby press the spacing element (9) against the border (6), thereby fixing the sheet unit (1) to a higher extent in the groove (4).
