Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005103435A1] The inventive enlarging and stabilising tool comprises a tubular body (1) provided with an axial cavity (2) outwardly open by at least one radial guiding channel (3), a knife element (5, 6) radially displaceable in each radial guiding channel (3, 4), wedge means which actuates the radial movement of each knife element by the axial motion in the tubular body and a drive tube (11) which is mounted inside said axial cavity in such a way that it is axially displaceable, comprises a longitudinal axis (8) and is pivotable therearound, wherein at least one wedge element (17, 18) is removably supported on the circumference of the drive tube (11), each wedge element and the drive tube, in the first angular position thereof, carry out a relative axial sliding motion therebetween, whereas in a second angular position of the drive tube, each wedge element is driven by the drive tube in axial displacements and means (28-32) stopping the drive tube in the second angular position thereof, thereby enabling said axial displacements to be carried out.
