[origin: WO2005100796A1] The present invention. relates to an open or half- open channel impeller for a centrifugal pump for waste-water. The channel impeller has a substantially circular periphery and comprises a central hub with a hub axis and a hub plane to which the hub axis extends perpendicularly. The channel impeller further comprises at least one blade which extends from the hub to the periphery. Each blade has a front edge adjacent to the hub, which front edge is continuously curved with an inclination to the hub plane which is 20<°> minimum and 50° maximum. The invention also relates to a centrifugal pump comprising such a channel impeller.
