[origin: WO2005114008A1] The invention relates to a hydraulic transmission actuator which comprises a piston/cylinder unit, whereby an adjusting piston (8) is able to be longitudinally displaced inside the cylinder housing (4) subdividing the cylinder compartment (6) into at least two pressure compartments (6a, 6b) which can be impinged upon with hydraulic oil via control lines (24, 26). A piston rod (12, 14) is linked with the adjusting piston (8). A sealing element (10) is disposed on the adjusting piston (8) and seals the two pressure compartments (20, 22) from each other. According to the invention, the diameter of the cylinder housing (4) is locally reduced, thereby increasing the radial pressure with which the sealing element (10) is forced against the inner cylinder wall.
