Das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren schafft eine Einstiegsöffnung in bestehende Badewannen (1). In die Badewanne (1) wird eine Einstiegsöffnung geschnitten und wird der Hohlraum zwischen Außenverkleidung (3, 4) der Badewanne (1) und Badewannenkörper (2) ein Zwischenmittel (zumeist PU- Schaum) (7) eingebracht. Ein optisch schönerer Eindruck entsteht dadurch, daß in die Öffnung des Einstieges ein Türrahmen (8) eingesetzt wird. Dieser Türrahmen (8) ermöglicht es eine Türe (10) einzubringen.
