Abstract (en)
A compact slicing machine, especially for loaves, has a circular rotating blade (5) straddled by a drive system which grips each loaf and indexes it by the selected slice thickness after each cut. The drive system extends to the outer walls of the machine with the motor mounted on one side of the cutter and the grip support on the other side. The machine has a maximum width comprising the size and travel of the drive system and the collecting tray for the cut loaf.
