Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1748010A2] Method for collating folded sheets and/or single sheets comprises forming a stack (4) of sheets (3) supported by an air cushion (LP), lifting the lowest sheet from the stack using a separating tool (30), forming an air cushion between the lowest sheet and the remaining stack and conveying the sheet to the collecting conveyer (10). An independent claim is also included for a device for collating folded sheets and/or single sheets. Preferred Features: The air cushion is produced by a blowing air stream (V) which is fed laterally below the stack. The lowest sheet is lifted from the stack in the region of the blowing air stream and is completely removed from the stack by the blowing air stream.
