[origin: WO2005105495A1] The invention relates to a motor vehicle door with a side window pane. A window lifter is assigned to the side window pane and enables the side window pane to be lowered into the door body. The aim of the invention is to improve the design of a motor vehicle door of the aforementioned type as to enable a complete lowering of the side window pane without requiring additional manual operations. To this end, the invention provides that the side window pane is provided with a split design and that a separate window lifter (8, 9, 5, 14, 15, 16, 18, 20, 19, 21) is assigned to each window pane part (2, 12, 3, 13). The respective window pane part (2, 12, 3, 13) can be completely lowered inside the door body (1) by means of these separate window lifters.
