Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1749576A2] The comminution device has electric motor which is formed as a high pole three-phase synchronous motor which is electrically connected to the output of the frequency changer controlled by a control device. The gear unit is formed as an epicylic gear unit. The three-phase synchronous motor encloses an epicyclic gear unit. The motor and the gear unit are formed together in a housing. An independent claim is also included for the drive unit.
