Abstract (en)
The device has a calender (1), which comprises a nip through which a fibrous web (2) rolls. A sensor arrangement has a black glazing sensor (28), which is arranged in the rolling direction of the web behind the nip. The sensor has several charge coupled camera (CCD) sensors and a light source, which emits light with a specific wavelength using which the CCD sensors exhibit their largest sensitivity.
