[origin: WO2005118055A1] The invention relates to a catheter head (1) for medical and therapeutic applications. Said catheter head comprises a catheter head housing (3); a cannula (2) which protrudes from the catheter head (1) and is to be introduced into organic tissue; a container connection (10) for connecting a container (18) containing a fluid to be administered; a fluid channel (4) through which the fluid flows during the administration thereof; an injection needle connection (6) for connecting an injection needle (7); a connection chamber (5) which is adjacent to the cannula (2), the injection needle connection (6), and the fluid channel (4); and a connector (11) that is arranged in a first position in such a way that the injection needle (7) can be guided from the injection needle connection (6) into the connection chamber (5) and then into the cannula (2), and in a second position, in such a way that it closes the connection chamber from the injection needle connection (6) in a sealing manner, once the injection needle (7) has been removed.
