Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005106174A1] A dual function tilt/swing roof window with tilt pivot (5) at top member of window frame (1), and a swing pivot (6) in the midsection of sash (3), positioned close to the glazed surface and not changing its position at some ranges of the opening angles of the sash, comprising frame (1), with the fitting (2) on its side members, and the sash (3) mounted in it via intermediate arms (4A) and (4B), equipped with a locking system, which, alternatively, locks one mode while allowing the other mode, also comprising pre-selector (33) of the window's operating mode, and the locking system has two catch systems mounted on both sides of the window, which, alternatively lock the sash (3) with intermediate arm (4A) and (4B), or lock intermediate arms (4A) and (4B) with the window frame (1), operated by the control mechanism co-operating with pre-selector (33), and control mechanism (49), which allows switching modes of the catch systems of the locking system only when the window operating mode is switched simultaneously on both sides of the sash (3), and when it is the same tilt, or swing mode.
