[origin: WO2005113975A1] A fuel injection valve (1) with an integrated igniting device (38, 39, 41, 42) comprises a first pair of electrodes (38, 39) for igniting fuel directly injected into a combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine via discharge openings (7) of the fuel injection valve (1). The pair of electrodes (38, 39) is comprised of a ground electrode (38) and of a center electrode (39) that are interspaced by a spark gap (41). The fuel injection valve (1) and the injection device (38, 39, 41, 42) are housed in a common housing (40). The igniting device (38, 39, 41, 42) comprises at least one additional spark gap (46) or another pair of electrodes (44, 45).
