Portable container (10) comprises a main handle (16) which pivots between a first upright position for carrying the container and a second position folded onto a side handle (18). Preferred Features: The main handle in the second position is partially immersed in the side handle. The main handle and the side handle have rib structures which partially interact with each other when the main handle is folded onto the side handle. The main handle and the side handle have the same cross-section.
