[origin: EP1752267A2] Production of extruded products made from wooden small parts mixed with binders comprises feeding a vapor in a controlled manner to a strand, matching the vapor amount and the vapor pressure to the heat absorption capacity of the impinged strand region and measuring so that they are sufficient for the cross-penetration and binding of the strand and the vapor amount can completely condense in the strand. An independent claim is also included for an extruder for producing extruded products made from wooden small parts mixed with binders. Preferred Features: The vapor amount and the vapor pressure are measured so that excess vapor does not reach the strand. The vapor is fed to the strand in the zone of the highest strand seal.
