Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a base oil blend comprising (A) bright stock oil, (B) de-asphalted cylinder oil (DACO) and, optionally, (C) one or more medium to high viscosity distillate base oils, wherein said de-asphalted cylinder oil is present in an amount in the range of from 5 to 40 wt. %, based on the total amount of said base oil blend; a process to prepare said base oil blend; and a lubricating oil composition comprising said base oil blend.
