Abstract (en)
The internal combustion engine has at least two cylinders with inlet (3) and exhaust (4) sides and a bridge region (5) between the cylinders (2,2'), whereby a cylinder head or crankcase has coolant channels on the inlet and exhaust sides essentially parallel to the longitudinal axis of the engine. The first channel is connected to the second in the bridge region by at least one bore so as to pass coolant.
