Ultrasound sensor (10) comprises a decoupling material (20) made from silicone-urea copolymers, preferably polydimethylsiloxane-urea copolymers, arranged between a housing (12) and an oscillating sensor membrane (14). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) Decoupling material for the ultrasound sensor; and (2) Method for lacquering the active surface (18) and surface of the decoupling material between the housing and active surface.
