Abstract (en)

A knee lever gear has a switching handle (25) and a coupling (18) that connects a latch (23) with a contact lever (15). A release mechanism moves the knee lever gear from a stable ON position to a stable OFF position through a dead center position, such that the contact lever swivels and the contact points (12,13) open. Compression springs (33,34) apply force on the latch in the OFF position such that at the beginning of a power ON procedure the latch extends to the ON position.
