Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005113025A1] The invention relates to a mobile decontamination container (1), in particular an ISO container, comprising a base plate (2) and lateral wall and roof elements (4a, 4b) that are located on the base plate (2) and form an inner chamber (8) that is sealed in relation to the environment and that can be supplied with hot air. The inner chamber (8) can be accessed by a door (10) that is situated at a first end of the container (1). Receiving means (12, 70) that allow the container (1) to be mounted on a transport vehicle, in particular an HGV, are provided on a second end of the container that lies opposite the first end. Said container is characterised in that a heat exchanger (14) and associated fan (18) are located in the vicinity of the second end outside the inner chamber (8), in the region of the base plate (2). The heat exchanger and fan are used to heat the air in the container (1) to a temperature in excess of 100 DEG C and to circulate said air to decontaminate contaminated objects that are suspended from the roof element, in particular protective suits.
