During the heating operation, the coolant heated in the exhaust gas heat exchanger (22,78) is guided over the heating heat exchanger (38), and during the cooling operation, it is guided over an expansion device (46) and an evaporator (40) once it has been cooled in an environment heat exchanger (44). According to the invention, the coolant is low-boiling, and once it has passed through the exhaust gas heat exchanger (22, 78), it is supplied as a motive agent to at least one device (30, 42) for transporting the coolant.
