[origin: WO2005118447A1] The invention relates to an application base for a device for transferring a film, especially a correction film, from a support tape onto a substrate, preferably paper or the like, whereby the support tape can be displaced via the application base that is placed on the substrate. The invention also relates to a device for transferring a film, especially a correction film, from a support tape onto a substrate and to a refill unit for such a device. The aim of the invention is to avoid or at least reduce an inaccurate separation or undefined separation of the film to be transferred from the support tape. For this purpose, the application base comprises an application edge that extends substantially at an angle to the direction of movement of the support tape and that a tear-off mechanism helps to separate the film to be transferred against the direction of movement of the support film and at a distance to the application edge.
