[origin: WO2005118950A1] The invention relates to a method for producing a chemical conversion pulp, which comprises the following steps: obtaining a chemical pulp by conventional pulping methods, at least one alkaline pulping step, in which the chemical pulp is treated with lye and then squeezed out, optionally additional steps of cleaning and/or bleaching the chemical pulp. A least a part of the lye remaining from the alkaline pulping step after squeezing is returned to treat the chemical pulp. The inventive method is characterized in that the content in beta cellulose of at least a part of the lye to be returned is reduced before the chemical pulp is treated.
