[origin: WO2005111319A1] A cover is disclosed for a surface water draining system or the like in a hollow body which can be embedded in the ground and opened, the cover having a passable top side (17), with at least one locking element (11) secured to an underside (19) of the cover (10), while the top side is closed by the locking element. The locking element is arranged at a defined distance (d) from the underside, so as to create an air gap (30) for thermally insulating the underside from the locking element.
