Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2005116561A1] The invention relates to a collector tank (1), especially for a heat exchanger (1) of an automotive cooling system. Said collector tank comprises a tank element (3) which is constituted of at least two integral and fluid-receiving collector areas (4), and a bottom (5) obturating said collector areas (4) of the tank element (3). A sealing arrangement (6) is provided between two adjacent collector areas between the tank element (3) and the bottom (5). The invention is characterized in that at least one application force generating means (10) and/or compressive force generating means is provided between the bottom (5) and the tank element (3) in the area of two adjacent collector areas (4) and adjacent to the sealing arrangement (6).
