[origin: FR2867622A1] The electrical field controller is made from a polymer matrix containing a dispersed charge with non-linear electrical resistance properties, made from at least 97 per cent zinc oxide in the form of a homogeneous powder, and less than 3 per cent of a metallic oxide in the form of traces. The zinc oxide powder makes up less than 99.8 per cent of the charge, and the grains of the powder are mostly smaller than 50 mcm and preferably under 10 mcm in size. The zinc oxide can be doped with at least one non-metallic element such as sulphur or boron. The other metallic oxides can be of lead, cadmium, iron III, copper or manganese.
