Abstract (en)

A form profile (2) is formed from thermoplastic foam material on a setting surface (1) by arranging profile pieces (26,27) with an allowance (25) on the setting surface. A table (4) receives the form profile which can be worked on. A heating wire (18) runs along the cross-section of the setting surface and is movable relative to the table. The form profile is rotatable about a receiving axis (28) relative to the heating wire which is bent relative to the receiving axis. The table has a depression in the area with the receiving axis and corresponding to the allowance of the form profile.
