[origin: EP1754595A2] Drive module (11) comprises a drive unit (21) connected to driven parts (22, 23) and having a power/path characteristic line which is different to a power/path characteristic line of a further drive unit (20). An independent claim is also included for a method for preparing a line of products for a press. Preferred Features: The drive module forms one component. One of the drive units contains a gearing mechanism (27, 29) with variable transmission. One of the drive units has a servo motor (25) as drive source.
