Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1754846A1] The basin has a tub (1) with a recess (4) to receive fluid and a surrounding frame which extends on each side of the recess parallel to the longitudinal direction. There are upwardly curved strips (5,6) carrying a cover (9) for the recess. The cover has a deck (10) with parallel strips (11) with their ends lying on the curved strips. The deck strips are each upwardly convex. Each deck strip can be formed as a hollow profile.
