Abstract (en)
In a rolling shutter consisting of a plurality of slats (10) pivotally connected to each other, each slat (10) comprises at each opposite ends a slat stop (1) having a slot (18) suitable for engaging with a guiding profile (17) of a vertical guide (16), blocking any dislocation of the rolling shutter from the guide (16) that would be caused by a smashing force acting on the rolling shutter same. In particular, the guiding profile (17) is perpendicular to the plane of the rolling shutter. The slat stop (1) blocks any sliding between a slat and another adjacent slat by engaging with only a portion of an adjacent slat. This allows fastening a couple of slat stops (1) on each slat (10) thus distributing the load in a more homogeneous way, bearing on each slat stop (1) for a fraction of the resultant force. The slat stop has an embracing sliding portion (18) suitable for blocking a lateral movement of the rolling shutter, a locking portion, suitable for preventing any relative movement between the slat to which the slat stop is mounted and the slat following, and a fastening portion (22) that is riveted to the slat (23).
