Abstract (en)
The connector has openings (3) for the accommodation of a contact carrier (2) having a contact partner, where the carrier is surrounded by a casing (4) made of plastic material. A sealing unit (6) is arranged at the casing in un-detachable manner by a connection (7) that is designed as a film hinge. The sealing unit is brought from one position to its final position to produce a sealing effect between the connector and a counter connector in a joined condition. The sealing unit is fixed to the carrier in a force-fit or form-fit manner and formed as a single-piece with the casing.
