[origin: WO2005123389A1] The invention relates to a method for printing decorative elements, especially on substrates with variable dimensions, especially glass, according to which paint is applied with a rotating screened stencil (3) in the form of a hollow cylinder (4) which presses and rolls against the substrate (2) to be printed. According to the invention, the axial length of the stencil is higher than the maximum width of the substrates to be printed, the entire length of the stencil is supplied with paint, and recovery means (R) are provided upstream of the printing region (I) in order to collect the paint which has not been transferred onto the substrate. The recovery means comprise pneumatic extraction means (8) arranged in the vicinity of the hollow cylinder (4), and means (10) for collecting the extracted paint.
