Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2005099380A2] This invention relates generally to a lift augmentation system for an airframe. More particularly, the invention concerns the combination of extendable/retractable wing tips with an airframe for lift augmentation as well as wings that can pivot into a deployed position. Flexible surface elements may be rolled for storage and unrolled for deployment with at least one being on the suction surface of the wing and at least one being on the pressure surface of the wing.
