[origin: WO2005121260A1] The invention relates to a printable composition which has a viscosity of 1 - 1000 mPas and comprises a) 5 - 50 % by weight of super-absorbent polymer particles, b) 10 - 40 % by weight of at least one organic, water-insoluble binder, c) 0 - 10 % by weight of at least one additive, and d) 40 - 80 % by weight of at least one organic solvent. The invention also relates to printed planar materials having at least one surface imprinted with the printable composition, and to the use of the printed planar materials for packaging food items, for packaging moisture-sensitive products, for moisture control in buildings or as membrane in textiles.
