Abstract (en)
The core of the mattress (1) consists of a matress core (2) made of a placing surface (4) made of visco-elastic foam and a support layer (3) made of a less compliant foam. The placing surface has a thickness which constitutes a third to a quarter the total thickness of the mattress core. An edge section (5) is preferably located on on or both lengthwise sides, which has a greater firmness than the support layer. The foam material elements are stuck together. The materials can be chosen to be autoclavable. An incontinence cover (7) is removable and replacable after cleaning.
