Abstract (en)

[origin: EP1757381A2] The method for the torsionally fixed connecting of a hollow shaft to a component located upon it entails the use of a joining tool (10) which has at least one first deforming component (12) and at least one additional deforming component (13), with the deforming components being movable relative to each other, wherein the relative movement effects an at least partial expansion of the hollow shaft (3). The expansion of the hollow shaft is realized by expanding the additional deforming component which contacts the hollow shaft by a defined inside circumferential surface. An independent claim is included for a device for the torsionally fixed connecting of a hollow shaft to a component which is located upon it, by application of the aforesaid method.
