[origin: EP1757524A2] Device for the production of a packing unit made from folded material comprises a magazine (5, 6) for releasing a blank (11) and a conveying unit (3) for conveying the blank from one step to another in a rotary manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for the production of a packing unit using the above device. Preferred Features: The conveying unit has transfer devices (13) which move between the conveying unit and each step provided on a ring (2). The conveying unit is formed as a triangle having as many side edges (18) as the transfer devices. The transfer devices lie on one of the side edges of the conveying unit during rotation of the conveying unit.
