Abstract (en)
A needle hook (13) can be locked by a tongue (15) or a slide. Linked to the needle hook, a needle shank (12) expands into a needle body by forming a needle breast. On an upper side in front of the needle breast there is a triangular raised part with its tip forming a lock-in edge while, together with the needle breast, it forms a knitting-stitch delivery area. An independent claim is also included for a method for changing knitting stitches around on a flatbed knitting machine with two or more opposite needle beds.
